Taste Skill

Anti-slop frontend framework for AI agents — brief inference, design-system mapping, dark-mode protocol, and hard pre-flight checks (v2: design-taste-frontend).

01

Overview

Taste Skill (Leonxlnx / tasteskill.dev) stops Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, v0, and Lovable from shipping generic frontends. v2 reads the brief, infers direction, maps to real design systems when applicable, and enforces a strict pre-flight checklist. Legacy v1 remains as design-taste-frontend-v1. Also sets design variance, motion intensity, and visual density dials so agents match the intended vibe before building.

Work with LimeDock

Using this skill? LimeDock can wire it into a durable automation you own.

Skills show what's possible. LimeDock builds and runs the owned marketing, sales, and ops automations around them.

We sell owned automations for SaaS teams — live workflows that plug into Slack, CRM, and your internal platform — not just a skill list.

How to use it

Install, then describe the brief (industry, audience, mood). Let v2 infer direction and run pre-flight checks before emitting UI. Pair with Frontend Design / Hallmark / Design Loop for multi-page coherence.

05

Example prompts

  • Use Taste Skill (design-taste-frontend) for a calm fintech marketing site — avoid purple gradients.
  • Set variance/motion/density dials, then build the pricing page.
  • Audit this redesign with Taste Skill pre-flight checks before shipping.
06

Use cases and examples

  • Calm wellness brand (low density/motion)
  • Dense SaaS dashboard settings
  • Experimental portfolio variance
  • Brief Claude before any UI code
  • Escape generic AI landing-page templates
07

Prerequisites

  • Claude Code, Claude.ai (Skills enabled), or an Agent Skills–compatible host
  • Permission to install third-party skills — audit SKILL.md and scripts first
  • Project context (CLAUDE.md / product notes) for better outputs
08

Tips

  • v2 is experimental but recommended; pin v1 only if something breaks.
  • Pair with Hallmark for stronger anti-slop visual gates.
  • Re-audit installed skills monthly to avoid context tax from unused packs.
